The Auburn Doubledays cruised to a win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 13-2, at Eastwood Field. Jeremy Thomas led the way, going 4-for-5 for Auburn. Mahoning Valley falls to 4-7.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Álex Rodríguez? The Auburn right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Doubledays on top, 2-0. For the game, Rodríguez had 1 double and 3 singles in 6 at-bats.
