The Auburn Doubledays clobbered the Batavia Muckdogs, 11-2, at Falcon Park. Leading the onslaught was César Paredes. He went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Auburn. Rens Zweers was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Curt Zigay. The loss drops Batavia to 4-6.

With Auburn trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Paredes hit a splitter from Curt Zigay for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Doubledays ahead, 3-1.

Batavia manager Brandon Kintzler called the blowout loss "ugly."
