Tri-City ValleyCats pitcher Ánibal Loronha was all business, helping his team muzzle the Williamsport Crosscutters, 8-0. The winner was Loronha. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jorge Jiménez. The ValleyCats, now 6-3, have been playing some good baseball.

Tri-City designated hitter Joe Parsons contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the ValleyCats ahead, 3-0.

"We had a good game plan," Loronha said, "and we were able to execute it."
