Brown Silences Mahoning Valley Bats
The Connecticut Tigers got a strong performance from pitcher Edwin Brown, who stymied the Mahoning Valley offense en route to a win, 6-0, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. The win gives Connecticut a record of 4-3.

Brown, who dominated for Connecticut, earned the victory to move to 1-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 9. Mahoning Valley batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Brown said after the game.
