Powered by César Paredes, the Auburn Doubledays downed the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 8-5. Paredes was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Doubledays. Aberdeen, with the loss, is still a robust 3-1.

With Auburn leading 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Paredes hit a fastball from Alfredo García for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Doubledays ahead, 8-3.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Paredes told the Auburn Chronicle.
