Pensacola Nears Round 2 Triumph After 3-2 Win
With starter Sam McWilliams leading the charge, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos defeated the Mississippi Hammers, 3-2, in Game 4 of the Round 2. The right-hander threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball at Five County Stadium to help Pensacola take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Had Cristo Muñíz not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Muñíz hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Blue Wahoos.

Muñíz said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Five County Stadium in Pensacola.
