The Everett AquaSox withstood an impressive performance by Tri-City center fielder Israel López to defeat the Dust Devils, 8-4, at Gesa Stadium. López went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win went to António Reyes in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Daniel Ávila took the loss. Everett goes to 9-5 with the win.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Quincy McLeod? The Everett designated hitter had a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the AquaSox on top, 5-4. For the game, McLeod had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Tri-City manager Tyson Ross.
